I just got a chance to read it all today. (What there was of it.) This is worse than I thought, it was a "joint investigation" by the FBI & the BCI. So basically I got the same BS cop reports, that I got from the state, only these had even more stuff blocked out than the stuff I got from the state! So basically the sheriff supplied ALL the the evidence. Then the BCI took all the police reports, rubber stamped them as fact, even though the evidence didn't support them. And then the FBI copied everything the BCI got from the sheriff, overlooked all the conflicting reports, testimony, & videos (& lies from the sheriff), and rubber stamped their reports as fact also. NO WHERE in ALL of this "evidence" was there ANY effort to look at anything OTHER THAN THE POLICE REPORTS. No other witness interviews other than cops, no rebuttal from Steffey herself or her witnesses....NOTHING! I plan on contacting the FBI more about information, but since there was no effort to actually investigate this case, I know already that the information I am going to ask for isn't going to be there. Got the FBI stuff yesterday 2-23-2010. I just got a chance to read it all today. (What there was of it.)

So basically the sheriff supplied ALL the the evidence.
Then the BCI took all the police reports, rubber stamped them as fact, even though the evidence didn’t support them.

And then the FBI copied everything the BCI got from the sheriff, overlooked all the conflicting reports, testimony, & videos (& lies from the sheriff), and rubber stamped their reports as fact also.

NO WHERE in ALL of this “evidence” was there ANY effort to look at anything OTHER THAN THE POLICE REPORTS.
No other witness interviews other than cops, no rebuttal from Steffey herself or her witnesses….NOTHING!

I plan on contacting the FBI more about information, but since there was no effort to actually investigate this case, I know already that the information I am going to ask for isn’t going to be there.

I will also go over ALL the discrepancies from what was claimed to what the evidence shows.

But AGAIN there is no effort from “investigators” to find out the truth of what was really going on that night. (They don’t even bother to explain any of the discrepancies in the evidence they DID gather!)

This is really unbelievable….Grrrrr

Just as I predicted NONE of these cases EVER went to a trial. Because there was NO WAY for these cops to defend what they did. This 'lawsuit' was nothing more than a ploy to get the station to stop putting out more of the story, before people found out what REALLY happened. Otherwise they would have been suing the national stations that also ran the same story, and they looked just as bad in them as the local story. That's what these criminals don't get it wasn't the story that make them look bad, but THEIR OWN ACTIONS! They are just lucky WKYC didn't print ALL their evidence. They didn't play all the 911 call where the caller tells the police that Steffey's attacker was also arrested the month before on another assault charge. Nor did they report Deputy Richard T. Gurlea Jr testified that because she was unable to help with the investigation, it was never finished, despite the fact that she went back to the station 4 days later. So the assault investigation was never finished....REALLY? But there are a few problems with that, for one witnesses at the scene said she was not that drunk, if at all. Plus Steffey testified at trial that the cops falsified reports that said she admitted to being drunk. She never denied drinking, only that she wasnt drunk as the investigating cops claimed. Sure people are going to think her & her relation are just lying for her, except for one small problem with that theory. Yeah the cops that assaulted & stripped her at 9:30pm claimed she was very drunk, one even claimed she was the drunkest person they had seen, but then the NEXT SHIFT comes in and they testified to the BCI investigators that they detected NO smell or effects of alcohol on Steffey at all!! I assume the next shift is 1 hours after they had stripped Steffey, and they report NO smell or effects?!?! They also report that she denied THREE times being suicidal. As for the verbal & physical abuse, the verbal I can believe, but the physical? All the videos show Steffey cuffed and surrounded by at LEAST two people at all times at the jail. And they are posted on YouTube for EVERYONE to see, heres a link to the first in a series that show she was never physically abusive. This has nothing to do with free speech and everything to do with the powers that be holding onto power and censoring (via public shaming) of anyone who doesn’t agree with their opinion!!! In one way, this proposed law is incredibly dangerous, but in another way it's meaningless. Dangerous because of the threat to our freedoms, and yet... meaningless because, ultimately, such a moronic law cannot trump human freedoms. The truth ultimately prevails.
